Lauren was born and raised in rural Alabama and has been a resident of Hawaii since 2010. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies from Auburn University and received a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chaminade University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Lauren has been serving children, individuals, and families in various community settings since 2012. As a licensed mental health counselor her passion is helping individuals find healing, strengthen relationships, overcome challenges, and reach goals. Lauren’s theoretical orientation is rooted in humanistic, client-centered therapy and is greatly influenced by her faith. Her strength-based approach to treatment is integrative, utilizing techniques from various modalities such as cognitive behavioral, experiential, systemic, and solution-focused. Lauren and her family attend First Presbyterian Church, Honolulu. She is currently taking new clients and accepts HMSA, HMAA and UHA.
