Carrie was born and raised in Southern California. She came to Hawai’i in 1998 to get to know her family and culture. Carrie earned her BA in Psychology and Masters of Social Work at the University of Hawaii, at Manoa. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings on O’ahu. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2004, she has experience working with people dealing with depression, anxiety, stress management, caregiver stress, and other challenges. She has used modalities of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal PsychoTherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Seeking Safety and more.
Carrie approaches each individual case holistically. Her passion is in helping people determine their goals and find ways to reach them. She believes that it is through knowing ourselves and utilizing the tools we gain through life experience, therapy, education and sometimes luck that we are able to move forward. Together, we have the opportunity to grow.
